Description

Clos Béru Monopole is Château de Béru's signature cuvée, from the vineyard surrounding the château at roughly 300 metres above sea level. A centuries-old wall encloses vines planted on an outcrop of pure Kimmeridgian limestone. This origin gives the wine a distinctive place within the Chablis appellation. Extended maturation in wooden vessels of different sizes, followed by resting in bottle, accompanies its intense substance. The profile is powerful, mineral and complex; patient cellar ageing helps integrate that energy and allows its depth to become more clearly expressed in the finished wine.
