A small-production red from pre-phylloxera vines (planted before 1860) at Château de la Vieille Chapelle. A blend of Merlot and Bouchalès fermented in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts and aged up to 12 months in French oak, with no added SO2. Merlot supplies round fruitiness while Bouchalès contributes acidity and verticality, producing a concentrated, savory profile. Pairs well with red meat and dark chocolate.
