Description

The Gigondas Hominis Fides 2017 from Château de Saint Cosme is a single-vineyard red produced from very old vines planted on Miocene limestone sands. It is vinified with whole clusters and aged about 12 months in oak (approximately 20% new barrels, the remainder in one- and two-to-three-use barrels). Aromas include violet, red and black fruit, white pepper and subtle mineral/smoky hints. On the palate it offers fine tannins, lively acidity and an elegant, saline texture.
