Description

Haute Densité 2023 comes from the Champs de Cri plateau at Tracy-sur-Loire, from Sauvignon Blanc planted at densities reaching 18,000 vines per hectare. This close spacing limits the crop carried by each vine, on Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestone soils. Harvest was followed by slow pressing, with fermentation in an old wooden vat and two 500-litre barrels. Maturation continued for around fourteen months on the lees, with gentle stirring. The château's technical sheet describes tropical fruit, citrus and ginger, followed by a juicy, mouthwatering palate. Its identity begins with the unusually dense planting of this particular vineyard.
