Description

Château-Fuissé's Juliénas is a Gamay from vineyards east of the village, midway up a south-facing slope. The deep, free-draining soils include granite sediments and slate. The estate has farmed these vines since 2010. The grapes are picked by hand and taken to the cellar in Fuissé; vinification favours whole bunches and maturation divided between barrels and tanks. The wine highlights small red berries and floral, spicy nuances, with a fine texture and soft tannins. It is one of the Vincent family's interpretations of the Beaujolais crus.
