Description

Château-Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru Le Clos comes from Chardonnay in the monopole vineyard surrounding the château. The slope has three geological components: clay at its foot, brown marl in the middle and white limestone in the upper section. These sections are vinified separately and blended progressively after racking and tasting. Hand harvesting and whole-bunch pressing precede spontaneous fermentation in barrels and time on the lees. The diversity of the soils contributes to the complexity and structure of this single-vineyard cuvée.
