Description

Château-Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru Les Brulés comes from Chardonnay on a south-facing slope above the château. The deep soils are Bathonian in origin and include marl and blue clay; the steep gradient requires manual cultivation. The parcel has been vinified separately since 1992. Hand-harvested grapes are pressed as whole bunches, after which the juice ferments spontaneously in barrels and remains in contact with the lees. The site is associated with a rich, ripe expression of Chardonnay accompanied by a sense of freshness.
