Description

Château-Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé Les Combettes comes from a small valley in the southern part of the Côte de Fuissé. Chardonnay grows on a northeast-facing slope in very stony, naturally well-drained limestone soils of Bajocian origin. Hand harvesting is followed by whole-bunch pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in barrels. The wine remains in contact with its lees. The site is associated with finesse, a slight saline quality and a mineral structure, characteristics that define this single-vineyard cuvée within the estate’s Pouilly-Fuissé range.
