Description

Château-Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée is a Chardonnay blend bringing together the appellation’s geological diversity. Parcels in Fuissé, on the southern slope of Mont Pouilly, contain clay, marl and limestone and contribute structure and acidity. Sandy and slate-rich soils around Chaintré bring lightness and floral notes, while the more limestone-rich soils of Solutré-Pouilly add a mineral dimension. Harvesting is carried out by hand and pressing uses whole bunches. These different origins combine to define the overall balance of the finished cuvée.
