Description
Château-Fuissé Saint-Véran is made from Chardonnay sourced mainly from the northern part of the appellation. The Le Clos parcel in Davayé is dominated by blue marl with limestone; Les Cras adds a more calcareous influence, while another source lies on the rear slope of Mont Pouilly near Chasselas, on clay and limestone. Hand harvesting is followed by whole-bunch pressing. The combination of these different soils defines a generous, structured wine with a saline dimension accompanying the ripeness of its fruit expression.
