Description

Château La Gaffelière has been linked to the Malet Roquefort family since 1705 and occupies a Saint-Émilion site between the hills of Pavie and Ausone. The vineyard spans three settings: the limestone plateau, clay-limestone slopes and siliceous soils at the foot of the côtes. Merlot and Cabernet Franc interpret these different conditions. Vine cultivation has deep roots here, also reflected in archaeological discoveries from Gallo-Roman times. The wine brings together long family continuity and a mosaic of parcels whose distinct positions contribute to the identity of the estate and its expression of Saint-Émilion.
