Lafleur comes from the same Pomerol plateau parcel on which Henri Greloud established the property in 1872. The Guinaudeau family preserves its identity through a heritage of Merlot and Bouchet, the local name for Cabernet Franc, rooted in gravel, clay and sandy soils. The dialogue between these elements defines the wine more than any fixed formula. The estate describes Lafleur as a balance of power, length and finesse. It is a strongly site-driven expression, where close attention to the vineyard supports a wine that combines intensity with carefully controlled proportions.
