Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape rouge is a pure Grenache expression rooted in a distinctive setting in the southern Rhône. The estate lies secluded among woodland, on very sandy, poor soils that the property associates with the finesse of its wines. Its connection with the Reynaud family dates back to 1880 and continues through work focused on the identity of the different estates. At Rayas, grape variety and place form a particularly direct story: Grenache becomes the means of reading this vineyard, without relying on the wider range of grapes permitted in the appellation.
