Description

Château Roumieu is a Sauternes from the Craveia family, rooted in the clay-limestone plateau of Haut-Barsac. Sémillon dominates the vineyard, accompanied by Sauvignon and Muscadelle. Hand picking takes place in successive passes as noble rot develops on the grapes. Following gentle pressing, the separate lots are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel before maturation in oak barrels. The wine combines the richness of ripe fruit with citrus and spicy nuances, retaining a fresh element alongside its sweetness. Its character brings together the distinctive setting of Barsac and the continuity of a family winegrowing tradition.
