Virginie de Valandraud 2011 is the second wine of Château Valandraud from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. The blend is led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc and is matured roughly 20 months in new oak barrels, adding structure and spicy notes. On the palate it shows ripe red and black fruit, subtle spice and firm tannins balanced by fresh acidity.
