Description

Le Beaumeray is Château Yvonne's single-vineyard Saumur-Champigny, made from Cabernet Franc grown at Parnay, in the Côte sector overlooking the Loire. The selection combines two plantings within the same vineyard, an older one and another established with massal material from Clos Rougeard's celebrated Le Bourg. Clay and limestone soils lie over the area's characteristic tuffeau stone. Mathieu Vallée interprets this origin through spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats followed by maturation in barrels. Further rest in bottle completes an approach focused on the depth of the site and the continuity of careful vineyard work.
