Chavy-Chouet's Les Narvaux is a Meursault Chardonnay from the high, steep part of the hillside. The vines grow in a thin layer of clay-limestone soil, a defining feature of this Côte de Beaune parcel. The wine matures in oak for twelve months, including a proportion of new barrels. Its profile combines white-fleshed fruit and toasted almond with an airy, lively sensation. On the palate it seeks balance, energy and a long mineral finish. Vineyard position, shallow ground and oak maturation together shape this expression of Meursault.
