Description

Les Gruches is the Chenin Blanc white made by Claire and Florent Bejon, Loire growers working between Saumur and Chinon. Its name preserves the memory of the small parcel where the wine began, now part of a broader approach to the domaine’s Chenin vineyards. Clay and limestone soils and organic cultivation provide its setting. Following direct pressing, fermentation and maturation take place in old barrels. Bottling without fining, filtration or added sulphur reflects the couple’s decision to accompany the wine with minimal intervention, keeping the fruit harvested in the vineyard central to its identity.
