Description

Auxey-Duresses Blanc Clos du Moulin aux Moines Monopole comes from Chardonnay in the part of the historic vineyard bordering Meursault. The clos is protected by a stone wall and runs alongside the Cloux stream; soils rich in red clay and limestone include exposed rock. Hand-harvested grapes are sorted and pressed slowly. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation take place in oak barrels without lees stirring or racking. The wine combines roundness and freshness, and no fining or filtration is carried out before bottling.
