Description

Clos Marfisi's Uva Rouge brings together Niellucciu, Minustellu and Carcaghjolu Neru from the Ravagnola vineyard in Corsica. The varieties are handled separately: Carcaghjolu Neru and Minustellu macerate on their skins, with some whole bunches for the former; Niellucciu is directly pressed and vinified like a rosé before blending. Fermentation and maturation use stainless steel. The cuvée belongs to Julie and Mathieu Marfisi's work in Patrimonio, devoted to local varieties. Ravagnola faces the sea to the west, on clay-limestone slopes over limestone bedrock.
