Description

Cloudy Bay Chardonnay comes from Marlborough, bringing together the stony soils of the Wairau Valley and the clay of the Southern Valleys. The pursuit of balance continues through careful winemaking and maturation in wood, which complements rather than defines its fruit character. For the 2023 vintage, the winery describes white nectarine, pear and citrus, with a discreet touch of oak. The palate gradually opens to reveal apricot, greengage and a refreshing mineral thread. Concentration and tension work together in a white wine whose balanced character also makes food an important part of its appeal.
