Description
Te Wāhi is Cloudy Bay’s Pinot Noir from two complementary vineyards in New Zealand’s Central Otago. Northburn occupies the steep eastern shore of Lake Dunstan, with rocky soils of glacial origin. Calvert, on Felton Road in Bannockburn, lies on the silty, loamy soils of an ancient lake bed. The winery associates the first site with structure and intensity, and the second with more fragrant, generous fruit. Blending brings these differences together, seeking to express the character of both vineyard origins within a single wine.
