Description

The Barolo Ravera Vigna Elena Riserva 2017 from Cogno is a single-cru Barolo made entirely from Nebbiolo. It originates from the small Vigna Elena parcel within the Ravera cru, planted with the 'Rosé' Nebbiolo clone on calcareous-clay soils with southeast exposure. Traditional fermentation and extended ageing in large wooden casks produce floral aromatics, spice notes and a pronounced tannic framework. This wine shows significant complexity and the potential for further bottle ageing.
