Description

El Reventón reveals a distinctive side of Sierra de Gredos Garnacha: the expression of slate soils, less common here than granite. Comando G works a small high-altitude parcel near Cebreros, with old vines and a darker, more firmly structured character than some of the estate's other wines. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented as whole clusters with natural yeasts. Maceration is gentle, avoiding aggressive extraction, before maturation in large oak vessels. Both the vineyard's origin and the restrained cellar approach contribute to preserving the particular personality of this individual site.
