Description

Las Umbrías is one of Comando G's single-parcel expressions from the Sierra de Gredos. Garnacha grows on predominantly granitic ground, with sand and small patches of clay, at an elevation that contributes to the vineyard's character. The grapes are picked by hand and fermented with natural yeasts; long maceration precedes maturation in a large oak vessel. Its pale colour does not convey the full depth of the wine. The importer's sheet highlights a delicate, floral character, subtle red fruit and the balance between fine tannins and mineral tension that defines this cuvée.
