Description

Peña la Mora is a Comando G Garnacha from Navatalgordo, one of the high-altitude villages of the Sierra de Gredos. The parcel lies around 1,200 metres and belongs to the site that also produces El Tamboril, occupying a lower section. Sandy soils derived from granite contain a significant proportion of quartz. Fernando García and Dani Landi distinguish it within their own vineyard hierarchy with the designation 1er Cru, reserved for sites of particular identity. The wine therefore explores Navatalgordo through a more closely defined expression of its winegrowing geography.
