Description

Villanueva is the Garnacha through which Comando G interprets Villanueva de Ávila in the Sierra de Gredos. Part of the estate's village-wine family, it comes from vineyards above one thousand metres, growing on granitic sand and silt. Hand harvesting precedes spontaneous fermentation in open vats, with a proportion of the bunches kept whole. Maturation continues in large French oak vessels. The wine reflects Fernando García and Dani Landi's exploration of the relationship between variety and origin, offering a view of the village's vineyards that extends beyond a single parcel.
