Contadi Castaldi’s Pinònero Natura is a vintage Franciacorta made entirely from Pinot Noir and released as a zero-dosage bottling. It shows a straw-yellow hue with subtle orange highlights, a fine persistent mousse and aromas of citrus (pink grapefruit), wild strawberry, white flowers, lime and acacia honey. On the palate it is crisp, fresh and fruit-driven, with a vertical profile supported by extended lees ageing. Vinification includes an initial mixed maturation (stainless steel and some barrique) followed by a prolonged period on the lees.
