Description

Monteriolo is Coppo’s Chardonnay, produced since 1984 and named after the road climbing the hill around the Canelli cellars. The vines grow on clay-limestone marl containing a silty component. Grapes are selected in the vineyard, harvested by hand and gently pressed. Fermentation and maturation take place in barrique, with lees contact and stirring before rest in bottle. The wine represents the house’s exploration of a structured Piedmontese Chardonnay, in which substance and complexity find balance through a clear, recognisable freshness that supports the palate.
