Description

Crissante Alessandria’s Barolo Capalot comes from Nebbiolo grown in La Morra, in a historic vineyard on limestone soils with fine sand. Southeastern exposure and a hillside position define its setting. Hand-picked grapes ferment on their skins in stainless steel, with pump-overs during maceration. The wine matures in large Slavonian oak casks and subsequently in bottle. Suggestions of red fruit, blackberry and plum are accompanied by nuances of vanilla and mint, while the palate is dry and structured, supported by the tannic presence characteristic of the estate’s interpretation.
