Description

Galina is Crissante Alessandria’s Barolo from the namesake area of La Morra. Nebbiolo of the Michet selection grows on limestone and clay soils with traces of sand and deeper marl, in south-facing vineyards. Hand harvesting precedes extended fermentation on the skins in stainless steel, accompanied by pump-overs. Maturation takes place in a large, untoasted Slavonian oak cask, followed by rest in bottle. The profile combines ripe fruit, blackberry and liquorice with a full, warm and balanced structure, supple tannins and a clearly expressed pursuit of elegance.
