Description

Cristom Eileen is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Eileen Vineyard on the crest of the Eola Hills in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA (Willamette Valley, Oregon). The site’s wind-swept exposure and volcanic soils produce small berries and wines with lively structure and concentration. Aromas include plum, lavender and sage with hints of licorice; the palate is dense and textural with black-currant and dried blueberry flavors and supple tannins that extend the finish. Winemaking features a high proportion of whole-cluster fermentation and roughly 17 months aging on lees in French oak (about 32% new).
