Description

Tradition Rosé is Michael Cruse's sparkling interpretation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay through California's traditional-method winemaking. Fruit comes from several vineyards and is handled separately before blending. The base wines ferment in barrel, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle and a period on the lees. Riddling and disgorgement complete the process. The cuvée therefore brings together different sources within a project that maintains a distinctly Californian identity. Its defining features are the hands-on approach and bottle fermentation, which give the wine a more specific character than its pink colour alone might suggest.
