Ultramarine's Charles Heintz Vineyard Rosé belongs to Michael Cruse's project devoted to single-vineyard sparkling wines from the Californian coast. Its origin is the Heintz vineyard in the cool Occidental area of Sonoma, where proximity to the Pacific shapes the vineyard landscape. The cuvée reflects a commitment to expressing one site and one harvest through traditional-method sparkling winemaking. Hand harvesting and attentive cellar work accompany the pursuit of balance, elegance and a recognisable sense of place. This is an artisanal interpretation of sparkling rosé, with the vineyard's identity remaining the producer's central reference.
