The Brunello di Montalcino of Cupano, a small winery with an unconventional style, is made solely from Sangiovese and matures at length in oak barriques, depending on the vintage for over four years, before further bottle ageing. The 2020 is energetic and fresh, with plum, sour cherry, sweet spice, herbs and tobacco.
