Description
Cantina D'Arcy Barolo Preda 2020 comes entirely from its namesake geographical mention, including vines planted as far back as 1949. Clay, silt and sand over Sant'Agata marl define the soil. Tom Myers used a substantial proportion of whole bunches, transferred by gravity, with spontaneous fermentation. After maceration, the wine spent eighteen months in thick-staved large casks without racking, followed by a period in tank. It was bottled without fining or filtration. This first vintage of the project places grape integrity and the expression of the Preda vineyard at the centre of the wine.
