Description

Cantina D'Arcy Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 comes mainly from Bricco San Pietro in Monforte d'Alba, from organically certified vineyards according to the importer. Tom Myers retained around one-fifth whole bunches and started fermentation with a pied de cuve of indigenous yeasts. Cap management combined pump-overs with a few punch-downs, while maturation was divided between nine months in barrel and a further nine in concrete. The wine was bottled without fining or filtration. This sequence reflects a search for balance between Nebbiolo's character and attentive handling tailored to the fruit of the harvest.
