Description

Monte Lodoletta Amarone comes from the Illasi Valley on the eastern side of Valpolicella, where the Dal Forno family works with alluvial soils. Grape selection and extended drying are decisive: Amarone receives fruit from more mature vineyards and a longer resting period for the bunches than the estate's Valpolicella. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while maturation continues in barriques. Begun in 1983, the project combines roots in traditional Veronese wines with rigorous technical research. Concentration and patience in the cellar define its approach, while maintaining a close connection with the surrounding valley.
