Description

Monte Lodoletta Valpolicella Superiore applies the rigour associated with Dal Forno Romano to a distinct identity of its own. Its grapes also undergo drying, for a shorter period than Amarone, to combine concentration with freshness. The origin is the Illasi Valley, with alluvial soils and a breezy environment favourable to resting the harvested bunches. Stainless steel fermentation precedes maturation in barriques and further ageing. The producer emphasises aromatic intensity and the ability to develop over time. It is a personal interpretation of Valpolicella, pursued by the family since its first commercial vintage in 1983.
