Description
Maya is Dalla Valle’s special cuvée named for Naoko and Gustav’s daughter, first produced in 1988. Its core is Cabernet Sauvignon from the namesake vineyard, joined by a substantial contribution of Cabernet Franc. The estate lies on Oakville’s eastern hillsides, where iron-rich volcanic soils define the growing environment. The blend seeks to unite the distinctive character of Maya’s Cabernet Sauvignon with the elegance of Cabernet Franc. In doing so, it connects a particular vineyard origin with the family history that gave both the site and the wine their name.
