Description

Les Genêts is a Savennières from Damien Laureau, produced entirely from Chenin Blanc grapes grown on aeolian sands and schistous soils of the Savennières plateau. Vinification includes élevage in oak on the lees followed by further maturation in stainless steel, with the length of barrel ageing varying by vintage. Aromas of pear and quince combine with mineral tones, while the palate shows generous texture, lively acidity and a salty, sapid finish.
