Description

Damilano’s Barolo Cannubi comes from Nebbiolo grown on the historic Cannubi hill in the municipality of Barolo. Limestone soils contain a pronounced sandy component alongside silt and clay, while the vines face south and southeast. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. In the estate’s general profile, cherry and plum are accompanied by suggestions of tobacco, liquorice and cocoa as the wine develops. The palate is dry, full and harmonious, supported by supple tannins. This interpretation of the cru combines fruity substance, finesse and a layered aromatic character.
