Description

Cerequio is Damilano’s Barolo from the namesake amphitheatre of vineyards in La Morra, sheltered from cold northerly winds. Nebbiolo grows on deep soils dominated by silt and clay, which the estate associates with substantial structure and a pronounced tannic presence. Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperatures. The aromatic profile recalls cherry, violet and balsamic impressions, with nuances of liquorice; time can add tobacco and leather. This expression of the cru combines intensity and persistence with a pursuit of elegance, giving a clearly defined place of origin to its structure.
