Description

Darviot-Perrin's Blanchot Dessus comes from a small parcel immediately south of Montrachet, on gravelly limestone soils. This origin connects the Chardonnay with one of the most distinguished parts of the Chassagne hillside, while retaining its own Premier Cru identity. Grapes are gently pressed, with fermentation and maturation taking place in oak barrels. The wine belongs to the vineyard inheritance of the domaine established in 1989 through the union of the Darviot and Perrin families. The intimate scale of the vineyard and continuity of family work are central to this interpretation of the site.
