Description

David Duband's Louis Auguste is a Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Pinot Noir grown on south-facing limestone and marl soils. Harvesting and sorting are manual; part of the crop remains as whole bunches during maceration. Foot cap-punching and pumping over precede pressing and transfer into new and previously used oak barrels. The wine completes maturation with a period in tank and is bottled without fining or filtration. The cuvée connects its cellar approach with its Hautes-Côtes origin and the pursuit of structure and finesse.
