Description
Domaine Arlaud Bourgogne Roncevie comes from a Pinot Noir parcel in Gevrey-Chambertin, purchased by Joseph Arlaud in 1964. The site was reclassified within the Bourgogne appellation that same year. Its clay-limestone soils lie above deeper layers of Bresse marl. Grapes are hand harvested and transferred to tank by gravity; spontaneous fermentation takes place in concrete with yeasts naturally present on the berries. Gentle maceration, using pump-overs and foot treading, precedes gradual pressing. The wine matures in oak barrels and is bottled without fining or filtration.
