Description

Domaine Arlaud Chambolle-Musigny combines four parcels north of the village towards Morey-Saint-Denis: Les Bussières, Les Herbues, Les Chardannes and Les Gamaires. Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone soils within an appellation recognised in 1936. Hand harvesting into small crates is followed by bunch selection and gravity filling of the vats. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in open vessels, with slow, gentle maceration. Gradual pressing is followed by maturation in oak barrels. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving the combined expression of these village sites.
