Description

Domaine Arlaud Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru comes from Pinot Noir planted in 1970 on the clay-limestone soils of Morey-Saint-Denis. The clos has historic links to the collegiate church of Saint-Denis de Vergy, founded in 1023, and also contributed to the village’s present name. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, then transferred by gravity. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in wooden vats, with gentle maceration and gradual pressing. The wine matures in oak barrels before bottling, which is carried out without either fining or filtration.
