Description

Domaine Arlaud Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes is a Pinot Noir Premier Cru grown on clay-limestone soils. Its name may recall an earlier cultivation of millet, from the Latin milium. In the vineyard, shoots are braided and leaves removed by hand, while the soil is worked with horses. The hand-picked harvest is sorted before transfer by gravity. Spontaneous fermentation in open vats and gentle maceration precede gradual pressing. Maturation in oak barrels is completed by bottling without fining or filtration, preserving the character of this individual Morey-Saint-Denis site.
