Description

Domaine Arlaud Les Ruchots is a Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru below Clos de Tart, on the same rocky bed as Clos de la Roche. Its name refers to small rock outcrops, a defining feature of the site. Pinot Noir, including plantings dating from 1955, grows on clay-limestone soils. Hand-picked and sorted grapes are transferred by gravity and ferment spontaneously in open vats. Gentle maceration and pressing precede maturation in oak barrels and bottling without fining or filtration, completing the cellar work on this individual vineyard cuvée.
